Status Updates From Um cântico para Leibowitz

This novel reminds me of various post-apocalyptic and sci-fi stories: the Mad Max movies, the video game series Fallout, Ray Bradbury’s book-burning classic Fahrenheit 451. Already I’m pulled into the world of these burlap-ragged monks who are ‘bookleggers’ and ‘memorisers’, trying to preserve ancient knowledge after nuclear disaster. Very imaginative and thought-provoking

Completed the first of 3 short stories comprising the novel’s story. You can definitely see how this book impacted and inspired the post nuclear war genre. I also like the use of the Buzzards as something that’s reoccurring so far in the book
