Status Updates From Eden Green (Gothic, #1)

I'm almost annoyed with myself that I'm starting to get into this.

Finally getting to this. Much as I can't stand present-tense narratives, I'm going to try to put my bias aside and give this a fair chance.

-Writing style feels too conversational; would work better spoken
-A couple puns give the impression the author thought of them as they were writing and tossed them in as interjections
-Little exposition, other than black needle monsters and super powers
-Great imagery

still not sure about the characters or the writing style or the plot but its been interesting enough that ive kept on reading

i have a feeling i wont really like this book :/

at least at the moment i am having a hard time liking any of the characters

"oh my God she has sword-hands that is s cool"

There are parts of this book that I really like, but there are also parts of this book that make me roll my eyes.
