Status Updates From Ede und Unku

I still don't get the title

I am almost have in this book, so why is it called Ede and Unku when Unku barely features?

The writing style is odd in my eyes but I got used to it for the most part. However, so far Unku did not feature much here.

Ede is a red-head? Well he wasn't in the film.
