But with Alexa the author never clearly defines anything character trait related other than hypocrite idk what actions Alexa will take. I feel like the author slaps all things out of the norm (character wise) with the easy label of "reckless" & expects the reader to just ignore how it doesn't vibe with previous actions

Arys has an easily defined character he's an absolute sneak, is & has always been secretive, 99% of the time selfish that 1% he's not selfish is bc it's important to Alexa he's not ie Kale. He's a murderer with a limited amount of "give a shit" left. Ie he doesn't kill children. He's underhanded, a true predator, manipulative, & an asshole. Most of what he does is within character & it's easy as a reader to identify

The bitch is not only a hypocrite but also bipolar. It's impossible to determine if what Alexa does is within her character bc Alexa doesn't have a steady character. This is a huge flaw in the writing. IMO Shaz's changes are due to character growth he went out into the woods for 5 weeks as a slightly dependent absolute ninny & came back as an overly aggressive asshole.

This far into the series the reader should have a grasp on all major character traits. Especially when it comes to the protagonist. I find myself unable to figure out Alexa. That's not to say there's been character growth by really that's been lacking in this series. It's bc Alexa imp needs a physiatrist.
