In books one and two there are repeated references to main character, a lawyer, a "prosecuting" but prosecutors work for district attorneys ' offices in NY and deal with criminals. This lawyer is dealing with civil cases and works for a private firm. Additionally there are too many instances of British idioms. For example, characters from Maine, relocated to NYC would not refer to their apartments as flats.

The Talented Miss Ripley is 78% done

So far, so good! I like the storyline and that it's characters just call to me. I didn't think I would like this collection because they are all really standalone books. But they are so cohesive that they just roll eight into the next story like the story never ended.
