Chapters XXIV and XXV went down more smoothly than i expected. Only one chapter to go but i don't wanna finish this book: i'm surely ill-prepared to handle Critique of Practical Reason (the logical next step) *or* Critique of Pure Reason (the grandpappy of 'em all?!), so what the hell could i possibly read next?

Wow, i really thought i'd plowed through a significant portion of the book last night, but it was only 34 pages. At least some of it seemed to make immediate sense.

Oil:Water :: Formal logic:My mind. I think i'd have to read this book 10 times before the bookmakers would set the line at EVEN for whether i can retain a shred of its/Kant's logic. Depressing, but i'm not ready to quit yet.

Further to my previous status update comment, there might *be* no undeniable proof for Kant's best ideas about morality; we might be obliged to settle for saying they're self-evident, or that they're merely preferable to all other moralities (all of which also rest upon adherent-proclaimed self-evident propositions). I want my suspicions to be wrong, though.

I doubt i'll ever be able to confidently (and accurately) say that i fully comprehend Kant's arguments. I think i understand his main points, but i do NOT get his attempt to prove that they're logically valid.

I love the book's organization. If only i had a little more time today, i could finish the "Approach to the Categorical Imperative" (aka Book I).
