I'm enjoying the tension filled relationship between the Gun runner Messiah and the "supposed" Mass murderer Kayla. 

The other characters are less interesting, but hopefully as this book winds down, that will become less of a problem. 

It JUST became a Space Opera. I was a LITTLE worried, for the beginning of this book (first two chapters) was brutal...in a suburban environment, then a prision environment. In the Chapter 3, it widened out into space (phew).
