A valiant effort was made. But alas. I am bored. This was good. Till it wasn’t. It’s to slow I guess

The King closed the door on me to speak with his advisors. I can’t be too upset about it since Alixx and Lighton were both shown the door as well. The three of us linger in the hall while the sound of Konstance’s voice grows louder and louder.
“If he touches me, if I’m plagued from all of this—”

His fist tightens in my silky locks just as his Adam’s apple bobs, his gaze sparking with a look that’s a mixture of lust and lucid concentration. His head lowers and his hand pulls down, arching my neck until I meet his stare. A second passes as his lips ghost over mine, his gaze searching back and forth.

My hand grips his slick shoulder, sloshing him right back in place in an instant.
“Get. Out. Of. The. Fucking. Bath. Madison.” My jaw clenches. Her eyebrow arches.
Everything with her is a fight. Nothing is easy.
I hoped she’d be resilient not impossible.
“Don’t be an asshole, Rabbit.”

I have got to work on my poor decision-making in the future.
A little part of me has grown careless of my mortality, especially since I’ve gotten diagnosed. Again. But there’s just something about heights like this. It’s too out of my control, I guess. I hate it.

This is very fun

We enter an estate of some kind, my fake blonde hair tangling around my face too much for me to see anything more than the floor. My ass hits shining tile, and once more, I’m glaring up into those careless sea blue eyes.

Can’t say she’s not realistic

Alone.
Shit. I’m alone with a man who may or may not be a friend. I’ve basically already idolized him for saving me. Let’s face it, a woman who’s spent half her life isolated from her peers knows Stockholm syndrome when she falls face fucking first into it.
