Status Updates From When Loving Him is Hurting ...

This chapter was very interesting as it talked about secondary abuse. I had been making excuses for friends and family in how they interact positively with my abusive ex. I see now that their support of him turns into a form of abuse against me. It helped me to understand why I was so hurt by these actions.

This chapter was so spot on as it explains the difficulty women face in trying to explain their abusive situations to family and friends, when their husbands are so well liked and have great personalities and charisma toward others.

The chapter on Narcissistic Victim Syndrome/PTSD was very enlightening. I have been diagnosed with both, though as the book explains, the former is not yet a clinical diagnosis. I was very pleased to see the author knew about NVS, and took the time to research, understand, and explain it.
