The title of the series should probably be changed. Reading this book and not once has the story involved the academy itself in the first or second book so far. The story itself kind of drags out certain scenes that probably could have been rushed through without the extra explanation. Hoping further reading will change that.

'I mean, what the fuck do you say to someone who looks like Amber Heard but with none of the issues?' is an actual sentence this author wrote. Jesus fucking christ.
And of course he leaves off with the promise of a few different sex scenes. Of course. Man, this book was a disappointment after how much potential the first had. This fucking sucked. Some of the characters are ok though...

Once again, Justin makes an absolutely stupid and childish joke, but it's received with laughter and treated as if it was a sick burn. It's not, it's just dumb as fuck. Also I guess the author dislikes hard taco shells, but that's just an opinion, yet he acts like it's a fact that they're bad. (Yes, the insult was literally comparing the jerks in question to hard taco shells. Can't make this shit up.)

Ok, first of all, 500 students is not that much - my high school had 1800. Although maybe it is a lot considering it's a school where everyone is weirdly in their mid-20s (in order to avoid any age problems with sex).
We again are told how many women are in the magic world - about 450 out of the 500, he estimates. So I guess we're going to meet all 50 of those men, since he loves introducing more male characters.

Sex on a log flume carnival ride is the right kind of silly dumb for this.
This author is capable of some pretty decent descriptions, when he's not resorting to fucking stupid references, or being otherwise lazy. There are some random dips in quality, where it feels he was phoning it in. I honestly think he's the most mechanically proficient harem author I've read. It's just that I hate so much about the story now.

Justin meets the father of one of the women he's sleeping with, who greets him somewhat coldly. So Justin's response is to be a stuck-up rude little snot to him. Then he's surprised when the father takes this in good humor. So, what, you were expecting it to go poorly? God, Justin's a fucking irredeemable idiot. Someone needs to smack him down a few hundred pegs. But it won't happen, because he's infallible.

Lol, he tries to pass off most women being 'easy' in the magical world as some sort of established canon, instead of being the product of lazy writing like it actually is. Besides, it's quite obvious Cecilia will sleep with him once the Mage Games are done, if not before. Hell, he could just say 'hey you'll get extra spells for having sex with me!' to try and convince her.
