You can buy happiness... Spend money on experiences rather than things, on buying time (hiring a cleaner or yard person, ordering dinner rather than cooking), on other people, or in places with fewer options so you don't feel burdened by choice.

Happiness is 50% genetics, 10% situational, and 40% up to the person - so we have a good amount of control in making ourselves happier.
But happiness is hard for lots of reasons - hedonic treadmill, etc
