There’s a soon to be mature or legal kid
Kalvar? A tiger something person who everyone seems to be prejudiced against, seen and treated as lower class

Tobi, one of the adopted kids
Is also some kind of shaman with powerful entities within him
Idk
He healed kalvar
But soemthing about ppl thanking tobi is a thing
It’s unclear

And I’m hating the random inserts of lore and character and world building

The girls parents or family will come into play after they get the package

It’s depressing

Lots of things this books casually glosses over too quickly
And some things lingers on too long

So on the trip back to the station

She did manage to grab some of their dust or ash
Later turned into locks of hair
And what’s his face is mailing them home
Hopefully

Oh during the trip to this place
Fmc was adrift for a bit and brushed by a chaos pocket
Now she’s got chaos thorns on one side of her face
Minus one when what’s his face pulled it out of her
Minus another when she stuck one into griffin

They’re pieces of her life
Months or years

Voren had them too

Let’s see who else

Fmc and what’s his face have to follow Evra to a prison planet bc she kind of betrayed the fmc
But it was to save her younger sister

Luckily sister and other kids were taken in by the ex
Kaden

Prison world is a shit place and full of shit ppl.

They escape

And make friends with the Meerkin
Bear sized somethings
Voren their leader
Tragic backstories

They make it home

The ex is Kaden
An enforcer
Idk if he’s some other alien

There’s his friend and fellow enforcer
The goofy playful joking
Damn forgot his name

He likes Evra the Amazon and fmcs new assistant or something

^gets off the bus and eventually finds her way to some other parallel dimension

Meets the soon to be former guardian of said station
The bitch dips out and leaves the fmc to take her place

She meets Griffin the avatar she names
Who everyone keeps treating like a servant and less than a sentient being deserving of decency and respect

A mystery with an ex who ghosted her

Woke up with amnesia one day with a note taped to her hand telling her she’s got a place to live for a limited time before money or rent runs out
Enrolled in college for whatever course - it wasn’t clear or I forgot

Until she got on a bus and rode until the blood and pain was unbearable

The lack of editing is so fucking apparent

I’d say the writing is mostly decent
Which is why all those incorrect grammars and mess ups stood out so much like a sore thumb covered in shit and flies

All this anticipation and it was just a meh book tbh

Sure I’ve read way worse

And I’ll still be reading the next book soon

But
It was not as good as I thought it would be

losing care and interest in these characters and their stories

not a fan of this mystery man fmc keeps hinting at
whatever promise she made with that pendant

chapter one was fine

i like it fine so far
nothing objectionable about the writing style or story
so far

i like the focus on the fmc
this intro to her

i’m already a little invested and intrigued

so it’s been prob at least a month since i added this to my currently reading list

i think i read the first line of page one and thought it was good
promising

and yet never got in the mood or mindset to keep reading

i just finished forcing myself to read a series and a long book
both vampire rh essentially
both shit.

so yeah
this can’t possibly be as terrible
i’m hoping

so all ive read so far was the first line

which was surprisingly
only one line by itself before it jumped to a new paragraph

so it felt more like a one liner writing prompt more than anything

although
i can’t even recall what that line was
something about exploding
