This book is very short but I can tell there is a lot of research on his part behind it, even though he doesn’t cite. It sells RPE. He admits RPE doesn’t work well for lifters who can’t gauge themselves well and skips the mental game almost entirely which you should fix rather than adjusting weights down. It’s a good process oriented method though if you know exactly what you are doing. I don’t, yet.
