There’s still little communication between them but he bathes her and combs her hair and then out of nowhere FMC is horny and they start hooking up. The complete lack of build up and the fact FMC is throwing herself at this alien she has known for a day? Just turned me off. The end.

He doesn’t want to like her cause apparently this is bad in his culture (scenting glands and some other weird things). Also mmc genitals at in some sac, gross! Oh and mmc is apparently dying from fading? So he plans to off himself before that happens to not disgrace his family. Anyway fmc runs off with another human to steal a communication device from her dead lovers head.

I was into this as it was initially giving Ruby Dixon vibes with besotted alien mmc but it failed miserably. Mmc part of alien soldiers on some mission who come across group of humans struggling to survive. He falls for the leader calling her brave and though they can’t communicate he is drawn to her. There’s a lot of inner monologue of him wanting to protect her and being turned on by her.

To my future self-this author is blacklisted
Do not read or reread any of these books ever again.

This is a waste of time and energy.

I hated the characters and the plot and the world building

Even more so than that first book I read about these talins and human pets.
