- It was short (thank god)
- The romance is insta (c'mon author, make my eyes work hard for it). For a prequel that's supposed to lay down the foundations. It feels like the second book or something.
- The MC the FMC had a crush on is questionable. Straight up a mixed signals typa guy. Maybe the author wanted us to hate him. The hate's there alr.
