Omg ❤️❤️Drakkar is fancy and rich 🤑 and loves beautiful fabrics !!

Now this book I liked. The first two books were weak in my opinion whilst the third one was somewhat better. However, this one is a significantly improved story. Not only the pacing is more balanced between showing and telling, and descriptions/inner-monologues and dialogues, but there's more depth to the characters without the book feeling like it's filled with info dump and the romance felt more natural as well.

Drakkar is an absolute marshmallow in the body of an alien warrior. His inner monologues are all about feeling shame for losing control - which he did not, simply his kind is obsessed with restricting anything that could be enjoyable. Meanwhile he made a bed for the baby, warmed up the baby, fixed Kitty's clothes, warmed Kitty when she was cold, reassured her of her safety and prioritised her comfort. Adorable!

Whilst it's still heavy in descriptions and inner-monologues, this book uses more showing than telling, so that's definitely an improvement compared to book 1-3. At least until now. We will see how it goes as the story progresses, but I'm more hopeful than I was with the other books.
