Ok. Even for Josh Lanyon that was an abrupt ending. Definitely not convinced about a HEA.

This story is so crazy. It's fascinating too. But gosh it's crazy.

The sequence of events is actually horrific. Poor Con doesn't get a break in this story. He needs a blanket to wrap in and lots of hugs....

“Whatever you want. We can do whatever you want.” He saw the surprise in Wes’s eyes—and then the excitement. But it was true. Whatever Wes wanted, because Con was already confident that Wes wasn’t going to want anything painful or too far out there. He wasn’t that kind of person. He was meat and potatoes. And maybe a nice dinner salad.

LOL, am I the only one who is still mad at Wes for having ruined Con's career?

Clearly not an invitation for animal cookies and milk. Heat washed through Con, from the soles of his feet rising to the spikiest tips of his hair. Did he? Did he want to have sex with Mr. Callahan? With Wes?


This story is pretty weird, but in a good way. I love Lanyon's dry, no-nonsense characters.

I picked up this book because I work in a school myself and the situation here is a common occurence. I'm surprised though that they didn't just call an ambulance. Just because the admin staff wasn't there?!

I'm angry! He better grovel in the end...

Just a minor niggle, but we are told Bea and Andy will do anything to keep Callahan happy because he has money,so why did they not take Connor back once they realised he did not want Connor fired?

Seriously! You're going with *that* as a break-up plot device? Why? Why exactly did the guy have a key in the first place? It makes no sense. You live with someone, break-up and move out, you don't then give them a key to your new place. *shakes head* The whole situation screams plot device. I'm disappointed.

*Spoiler* with the entitled asshole who got me *spoilered*? Con is more forgiving than I, and I am usually able to accept unlikely situations in my escapist reading.
