This contains so much densely packed information that is new to me. For example how much the Kabbalah owes to Neo-Platonic mysticism that re-interprets the dualistic metaphysics of Plato himself into a more holistic system where all the different conflicting components of the universe become different manifestations of the same divine universal consciousness. (compare to the Sephiroth, same basic idea)

I am already somewhat familiar with the Kabbalah from the writings of Danish occultist/science-fiction author Erwin Neutzsky-Wulff (think Scandinavia's answer to Robert Anton Wilson) but he is of course the pop culture version of the Kabbalah and attached to some rather idiosyncratic theories of his own.
