Overall decent story. I like the characters, but I found the plot and pacing lacking. I think the book was just way too short for everything the author wanted to convey. But, the main characters were decent.

A Medusa retelling that hit every check mark for me. I loved everything about the story. I loved Marina from the start. Then about halfway through, I started hating her. The way she treated Rom for something out of his control got annoying. However, she grew & understood that he had no part of it & suffered greatly, just like her. They were kindred spirits & perfect for each other.

I really like that this book didn't have any spice. It's definitely slow burn so it allowed the plot to move forward and all the guys and Lorna to develop more naturally. It was still fast paced but it didn't sacrifice the plot development. The character development is a little lacking but I think that will get better over the next books

I might be in a reading slump. I started Vampire Labyrinth by Lili Black today and it's short enough to finish in a day but it couldn't keep me captivated. From 5th chapter I started skimming. I DNFed at 6th.

Okay, so I finished Moon Trials and loved it sooooo much.
I also backtracked to Celestial Flame and am now at chapter 22 of it. I still have confusions, but the writing is good so I wanted to give it a second chance.

DNF-ed Celestial Flame at chapter 15. All she does is sleep and get into an unexplained 'trouble'. The connections she made at the camp are superficial, like why do they care about her? What truly connects them?
Anyway, ready to start Moon Trials. I know Lissa Bolts will not dissapoint.

Okay. I've reached chapter 10 of celestial flame and while the beginning was great, I'm starting to feel like the plot has gone on a merry-go-round. Some unexplained things happened. A bit unfeasable and rushed in a way that makes the world-building feel weak.

Oh my gosh, CELESTIAL FLAME starts with a boom. I am really excited about this one!

Bound to the Fae has short chapters so I made it to chapter nine, before I gave up on it. It felt rushed and as if essential plot points and worldbuilding was completely left out. At times even as if entire scenes were cut out. I did find the idea behind the story thrilling, but the execution didn't deliver.

Started reading Serpent & Flame, got to chapter 4 before I DNFed. The world creation didn't seem to come together in a harmony, or perhaps it was the explanations that came out rocky.
