Status Updates From The Color of Style

This book needed pictures. Pictures of before and after outfits from the stories, pictures of identifying colors in irises and skin, and pictures of the color swatches that are listed for you to choose from.

Also I also thought that colour demonstrations would have helped a lot in deciding between seasons. I googled a lot of the colors he gave and there was lots of variety in results.

I love the closet auditing and shopping chapters. I already do a lot of what he recommends. It’s good advice to stop unnecessary purchases. Especially learning to filter.

The archetypes also I couldn’t crasp. I still have no idea what I am. They’re all so stereotypical and over the top. I am 100% sure I’m spring in traditional color analysis but none of the personalities of springs spoke to me - neither the recommendations. I liked some of the winter ones but I can’t get behind winter colors on me.

I like the premise and thought behind this book. Everyone truly has a personal color palette for their style. However it’s quite confusing trying to nail the colours down and a bit too limiting for me personally. I did find some colours that I love on me and always have but that’s not all I will wear. It’s too limiting. I’ll stick to bright spring colours.
