I wish I were more on board with Aud and Kick's romance. Aud certainly got over Julia. Why can't I? Sobbing over a fictional character. Wow. I can almost believe in Aud and Kick, but something is holding me back. The stupid love triangle between Aud, Kick and Dornan isn't helping. It's frustrating having the writing be this skilled and not enjoying it.

Aud is literally that terrifying person in movies who somehow finds you after you've done everything to hide and is perfectly calm, casually flipping a coin and leaning against the wall, because they have all the power and you both know it.

The discussion throughout the book on self-defense and the systems of greed and patriarchy in place that keep women scared is so important.

LOL Aud trying to explain her friendship with Dornan. To be fair, the killing for his girlfriend thing only happened once. I love them so much.

I love this book and reread it every so often, because when I picked it up for the first time a few years ago, I failed to immediately notice 2 crucial facts:
1) It was the third book of a series, which I did not learn for quite some time and was rather confused by, and
2) The main character is gay, which I learned almost immediately and was quite pleasantly surprised by
