More of a challenge than the other Josipovicis I've read, but it (mostly) falls into place in the final few sections.
When reading, it requires patience, attention to detail, and analytical thinking. After reading, I need to ruminate before writing a review.

Josipovici is touching on a lot in these early chapters, but not in a heavy-handed way. Themes of modernism, meta-lit, the exhaustion of thought and lack of newness... One of my favorite parts so far was the second chapter in which the poor insomniac philosopher Westfield no longer is able to experience anything purely and in the moment because every feeling and thought seems narrated and fake, already adumbrated.
