Love how Sekulin smacks you in the face with a vivid sense of setting right from the first page. Sneaky protagonist, ruthless and powerful female characters, immersive details— I fear I am going to love this book.

She bakes, she mothers, she runs away with a handsome brooding stranger, and every fierce warrior does as she says. Nella is amazing and I bet she gives the best hugs.

Yes, the princess carry trope is cute, but I also find it adorable when the very particular princess has to drag her bleeding, glassy-eyed heroic knight out of danger.
