Since it has taken me months to get to this point in the book, it's for sure not a favorite, and I think it's worse than mediocre.

Might be my favorite of the series 😍

Definitely not my type of fantasy story

I love the character work here and finally the plot is plotting

The magic system is interesting, and the plot isn't captivating me so far, but it is turning out to be a quick read.

I really hate the husband.

There's something exhausting about this book. It could be my reading mood isn't matching up to the book, or the book itself. I can't pinpoint which is it. It is intriguing at times and repetitive in others, I am enjoying where it's going over all, but not so much the pacing of it.

So far I'm enjoying this!

I'm really not trying to get my heart more broken over this book.

Even the bonus chapter is a tad disappointing.

Just cause you're telling me how compassionate she is doesn't make me believe it. Most of her scenes and her inner dialog is filled with anger and resentment, I don't see how that exactly translates to her being this kind and beloved.

“I’m not interested in romanticizing Hades for doing something all men should be doing.”
This is possibly th stupidest line in the book. It has zero relevance to men, and completely relevant to gods or just humans.

"Yet she hadn't thought twice about his words.", sis you hardly think. All she has been is stubborn, biased, and has the worst listening skills ever. How are you a journalist? Make it make sense

Okay the chemistry is good, but damn is Persephone stupid? She basically meets everyone with "oh you're ___" when they were just introduced as ___, once or twice maybe but everytime ugh.

I despise how every chapter seems to start, "for x amount of time I've done this". Can we at least be there when you're doing some of these things? It could have been a paragraph, but it's a sentence in past tense and we're supposed to connect to what's going on?

Remember to read your TWs people, no book is worth your mental health.

The situation the MC is in is heartbreaking but more word vomit, I can't do that now. This whole story is mainly word vomit.

Knew things were going downhill at this point. We are downhill at this point, I repeat downhill has been reached.

Not everything needs to be spelled out, ugh.

"That chair must be made from marine-grade polymer"
"...and use your fine motor skills for eighteen hours straight."
Umm who is this woman? Definitely doesn't feel real whatsoever.

Okay the writing style isn't great, but it's entertaining. I see the appeal now.

It's painful reading this, not because of the set up so far, but because the writing style is just grating.

What's happening? Is this a joke or am I gonna start disliking this book 😀
