so far this appears to be a fairly polemical differentiation between two visions of Adam Kadmon. Adam I is the man of dignity, science, mastery of Nature. Adam II is the protagonist of a redemption plot. Predictably, Promethean Adam I turns out to be treated unfairly

He has one interesting idea, that ownership over a project tends to correlate with long term investment. He sketches an anthropology of varying time preferences. Temporal orientation is linked to economy; so far, so good. Psychology empirically confirms this correlation: some cultures really are more past/present/future oriented. Not sure how that becomes an apology for hereditary aristocracy?

Wolfendale effectively deflates the hype surrounding 'allusive ontology,' exposing it as a mixture of poetry and philosophy that contains the virtues of neither and the vices of both. While the book ostensibly treats Harman, the arguments can be fruitfully applied to the short-circuits indulged in by a host of other OOO-type theories.
