He has one interesting idea, that ownership over a project tends to correlate with long term investment. He sketches an anthropology of varying time preferences. Temporal orientation is linked to economy; so far, so good. Psychology empirically confirms this correlation: some cultures really are more past/present/future oriented. Not sure how that becomes an apology for hereditary aristocracy?

I hope this is one of the last far right intellectuals I read for a while. I want to understand why this book convinces people of outlandish stuff
