It's not actually bad if you are sleeping late I guess. It's a biological trait that we acquired from evolution. What's important is that you get enough sleep - that is, 8 hours on average. Night owls tend to be so diverted from the current world, it's hard to get enough sleep and in time, owls have to face consequences of sleep deprivation.

In history what is known to us we call laws of inevitability, what is unknown we call freewill. Freewill is for history only an expression for the unknown remainder of what we know about the laws of human life.

Reason gives expression to the laws of inevitability. Consciousness gives expression to the essence of freedom.

"Not that sort of victory which is defined by the capture of pieces of material fastened to sticks, but a moral victory that convinces the enemy of the moral superiority of his opponents and of his own impotence, was gained by the Russians at Borodino."

It is being considered that the Borodino had laid its hand for the downfall of Napoleonic France for the first time of any emminent events.

"The more we try to explain such events (wars) in history reasonably, the more unreasonable and incomprehensible do they become to us."

Here I am, it's been 7 years, now, at july 1812.

'Desire nothing for thyself, seek nothing, be not anxious or envious. Man's future and thy own fate must remain hidden from thee but live so that thou mayest be ready for anything. If it be God's will provide thee in the duties of marriage, be ready to fulfil His will.' What could all that matter in comparison with the will of God, without Whose care not a hair of man's head can fall?

"Mother used to say that it meant Christopher was a nice name because it was a story about being kind and helpful, but I do not want my name to mean a story about being kind and helpful. I want my name to mean me."

I have a feeling that I am going to like this book very much.

"All those vows I made in childhood that I would give resonable answers when I became a parent, that I would treat my own as an intelligent, thinking individual, all for naught: I'm going to turn into my mother. I can fight it as much as I want, but there will be no stopping my slide down that long, dreadful slope."

"At church where he'd speak, Malcolm X was seated on the platform next to Mrs. MLK, to whom he leaned and whispered that he was "trying to help," she told Jet. "He said he wanted to present an alternative; that it might be easier for whites to accept Martin's proposals after him. I didn't understand him at first," said Mrs. King. "He seemed anxious to let MLK know he was not causing any trouble or difficult..""

"Yes, I have cherished my "demagogue" role. I know that societies often have killed the people who have helped to change those societies. And if I die having brought any light, having exposed any meaningful truth that will help to destroy the racist cancer that is malignant in the body of America - then, all of this credit is due to Allah. Only the mistakes have been mine."

"I must be honest. Afro-Americans showed no inclination to rush to the UN and demand justice for themselves here in America. I really had known in advance that they wouldn't. The American white man has so thoroughly brainwashed black man to see himself as only a domestic "civil rights" problem that it will probably take longer than I live before Negro sees that the struggle of American black man is international."

Anyone who has read a great deal can imagine the new world that opened. From then until I left prison, in every free moment I'd, if I wasn't reading in the library, I was reading on my bunk. You couldn't have gotten me out of books with a wedge. Between Mr. Muhammad's teachings, my correspondence, my visitors, my reading, months passed without even thinking of being imprisoned. I'd never been so truly free in my life

I. Economy - less is more. "There is a certain class of unbelievers who sometimes ask me such questions as, if I think that I can live on vegetable food alone; to strike at the root of matter at once -- for the root is faith -- I am accustomed to answer such, that I can live on board nails. If they cannot understand that, they cannot understand much that I have to say."

The student who secures his coveted leisure and retirement by systematically shirking any labor necessary to man obtains but an ignoble and unprofitable leisure, defrauding himself of the experience which alone can make leisure fruitful. "But you do not mean student should go work with hands instead of heads" I do not mean that exactly,.. they should not play life, or study it merely, but earnestly live it

"There is some of the same fitness in a man building his own house that there is a bird building its own nest. Who knows but if men constructed their dwellings with their own hands, and provided food for themselves and families simply and honestly enough, the poetic faculty would be universally developed, as birds universally sing when they are so engaged?"

Story #3 - An independent organ - You love someone and die for someone. How does that feel?

"Perhaps as he hovered near death he'd finally found something close to an answer to the question Who am I? And he wanted to let me know. I have a feeling that's the case."
