Well definitely not the best read when you have a raging migraine lol but it's still very good

I love the dark academia moody vibes of this. It definitely is a period steampunk fantasy type deal, but so far I've been enjoying it.

Intriguing premise. Seems I've been getting books set in the victorian era recently, with a slight steampunk/gritty edge. I am curious about the protagonist, definitely.

This book started extremely slow with middling plot but I have to say I'm enjoying what is effectively a steampunk jeckyll and hyde retelling. It's a bit 2012 cringe, but the machines juxtaposed with modern AI feels more interesting now than it would've back then.

Taking forever to read this but the steampunk universe is kind of hard to follow, not gonna lie

This story is extremely cute. I love how it's handling the reality of the fake marriage trope and how difficult it can be for both parties to lie to the family and the difficulty of pulling it off. I really am enjoying D'Vaughn's difficulty and internal struggle with it all; it feels very human and realistic.

This satire is very pointed and though a bit fantastical, I can completely understand the author's point and I feel it's written well and captures the microcosm of anti-feminism trends going on right now (Ballerina Farm, "feminine energy" coaching, etc). The problem for me is that it's so on the nose it's rather miserable to get through.
