This story is extremely cute. I love how it's handling the reality of the fake marriage trope and how difficult it can be for both parties to lie to the family and the difficulty of pulling it off. I really am enjoying D'Vaughn's difficulty and internal struggle with it all; it feels very human and realistic.

This satire is very pointed and though a bit fantastical, I can completely understand the author's point and I feel it's written well and captures the microcosm of anti-feminism trends going on right now (Ballerina Farm, "feminine energy" coaching, etc). The problem for me is that it's so on the nose it's rather miserable to get through.

This is a very strong sequel so far. I love that the tone has shifted into a much darker, haunting theme. It's clear that in this sequel all the actions the characters did in the first book and who they are has come back. It has a sharp tone and is well done. I also really like that the author did their research on British fae
