3.5 Stars rolled down. Good writing, but needs a lot more world building. I also don't really like how the MC and SO are forced into a civil union after 1 week

Probably gonna be 3.5 stars rounded up to a four. Really intriguing plot, but the world building is flat and the whole bonded thing seems rather unnecessary. I need more political system development and magic development for this to be 4+ stars

Intriguing plot set-up. I feel the magic system is a bit flimsy, but I'm okay with it so far because it's an obvious allegory. Love that the FMC is in sex work, I think it's cool as hell the author chose such a career for the book.
