This is the goriest infinite flow novel I’ve read to date. I absolutely cannot handle horror/gore in film/TV but apparently in books I think eww gross and keep going. The CP is very enticing and worth the snail’s pace slow burn 😍

I started this January 25th of this year and have 8 days to read 283 pages (of 3,174!) 😬

If any of my friends (or potential new friends!) ever decide to read this, please let me know and I will buddy read with you! This novel is unlike anything I’ve read and I cannot wait to reread it one day 🥰.

Priest is SO talented with world building and storytelling. I’m not even done and I can’t wait to reread this 💜

Uhmm why is it only 279 pages? I loved this book so much that I printed out the entire FTL which ended up being the size of two textbooks 😬almost two years ago. I’m nervous that it’s not going to be as good now.

Excited about this one since I loved Panguan and Copper Coins which are also in the same universe 💜

Spiritual beasts, a Cauldron of Nine Dragons and an evil cultivators alliance?! Makes me miss The Legendary Master’s Wife 😭

Priest never fails when it comes to well written female characters. In addition to Turan from The Defectives/Can Ci Pin and Gu Yuexi from Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire, there are at least four in this novel that I love so far. So refreshing to see women with lots of depth and central to the plot!

I’m in book 4 of 5 and it’s almost getting to the point of being unputdownable for me.

Love steampunk x xianxia. Iron replacing spiritual stones needed for things to make life easier for common people is 🤌 Fragile system of the cultivators’ control breaking down!

Also, 100 pages read but only 1% progress 🦥

Never thought I would read the words bald donkey in another novel after Copper Coins but here we are!

Always comes down to greed and desire for money, power, and prestige. These cultivators trying to ascend to immortality are the worst. They do not care about the common people and spend so much time in seclusion. But what is it all for, what’s the point? After they become immortal, then what? Because they certainly don’t help the common people then either…

Going to start updating my progress to hold myself accountable for finishing this novel before the end of the year. Started in January and still haven't finished. It's quite long and I've put it aside for other novels too many times.

If you like fantasy, especially xianxia and don't need romance in your fantasy this novel is for you!! The world building alone is incredible.

Don’t Pick Up Boyfriends From the Trash Bin is the English title. I wanted to update before the fan translation is taken down in case anyone is interested in reading while it’s still available. You will need to support the author by purchasing the raws (instructions on how to do this are on the site).

Anyone have success with adding a book to Goodreads? I’ve tried multiple times without success and it might user error. If anyone knows a Goodreads Librarian or is willing to help figure out what I’m doing wrong- please let me know. It’s a Chinese web novel without a FT or official English translation.

Story starts on page 7 and ends on page 262 in the kindle version. Absolutely criminal for what we are paying, Seven Seas 🙄 I don’t know how much the physical book costs but I’m going to have to skip it because there is no interior art.

The best found family- Li Jinglong, Hong Jun, Mo Rogin, Ah Tai, and Qiu Yongsi 🥰🥰🥰. I have the same level of excitement as when QJJ was finally officially published in English.
I hope this translation clears up some a few questions I had reading a FT.

Finally a 450+ page novel from SS! Gorgeous cover. Not sure if I’m ready…

If we have learned one thing from QJJ, it’s that grain is important 😬. Chess pieces are moving all over the place now and we get so many private sweet and tender moments between SZ and XC.

The map is crucial as well as keeping up with which clans are associated with which prefectures. Take notes!

I really don’t have any complaints about this translation like I was worried about initially 🙌
