One thing I forgot to mention about the previous book was that while I liked the plot, the translation definitely wasn't the best. This continues in this book, unfortunately.

Instead of fighting each other, Pamela, Charlotte, Lori and Bebe should have joined forces and hunted Jimmy Page for sport.

At the same time deeply troubling and outright ridiculous, can't put it down. You just can't make some of this shit up.

At this point idk if I'm trying to feed my obsession or run it to the ground? Anyway, I am well aware of the reputation of this biography, but it was the only one my local library had. I'm taking it with a spoonful of salt and I am interested to see if there's anything more to it than the account of the infamous mud shark incident.

I love patting myself on the back when I get all the little Wilde references in this.

It simply makes me happy that these books exist. It also makes me happy to read about Oscar when I'm sad (even if it's a fictionalised version of him).

It's okay. Seems like there's not much in here that I didn't already know, except the fact that he toured Yugoslavia! He didn't make a stop in Ljubljana though, unfortunately.

I'm so disappointed that this is just about the only biography of Veidt in English, it reads as very biased, not particularly in depth (except for the laundry list of each filn Veidt starred in, along with its full cast and synopsis) and surprisingly scattered and non chronological. Still though, for me, sort of worth reading for the parts that actually say something about his life.
