Наконец, длинная русская классика... I've come back to my roots. Considering I've been saying I'll go back to do a master's in russian (please someone talk me out of that), an apt read.

I love how this ties in with the previous books. For once, some sequels that actually add something to the story!

So far it seems that Robbie and Oscar's lives were so linked their stories kind of merge... there was not really all that much to write about Ross that did not include Wilde. I suppose this changes after Oscar's death.

I have conflicting thoughts on this. I love the lore it adds to the original trilogy but I can't help but to think it's a bit childishly written? I'll make up my mind by the end.

Downloaded this on my ereader so I can read while the better half is asleep, plus, if I wanna be all caught up for the sunrise on the reaping movie I gotta be fast!

Nobody does it like James Baldwin. The last book I bought at St. Innie's during my time at St. Mary's, it makes me so nostalgic :')

I was supposed to read this back in freshman year russian romanticism class but never got around to it. I loved Gogol's short stories (if you like Kafka you'll love them too) but this is an entirely different beast. Reminds a bit of Puškin's Poltava or The Captain's Daughter. I'm not super into these kinds of stories but I guess it's worth the read just to get a better idea of the author's body of work.

Reading this in slovene translation, got this book for free at the LGBT film fest and it's been sitting on my shelf for far too long. This summer I'm doing a kind of physical tbr purge, so this was first on the list because it's pretty short

Look at me reading 10 books at once... Oh well. Also, I remember seeing the movie for tge 1st part of this book and honest to God I don't remember any of it. And I've been enjoying the extra worldbuilding and character development so far!

I switched to the English e-book version. I wanna finish some of the books I'm in the middle of before starting new ones

I need to impress the club of student socialists, so it was about time for me to read this haha. In seriousness though, the edition I'm reading is also abridged but not this exact one. Mine runs about 500 pages and I'm hoping to make notes as I go along. So far I'm rereading every paragraph about 5 times and it's looking like this is gonna take me a while. Oh boy!

For my American Novel class. I have seen the movie and read Mrs Dalloway a few years ago so I'm looking forward to reading this!

We watched the movie in class the other day and I forgot so much about it... now it's just time to finish the novel

Okay this is starting to get stale

At this point I'm waiting for the murder to start because I cannot be reading pages on pages on pages of brand names any longer. Will admit tho, it's engaging... somehow?

Reading for my American Novel class. It's so crazy annoying but I can't put it down.

"You can look up compilations of John and Paul staring into each other's eyes on tumblr" is definitely not a sentence I expected in this book. But hey glad to see a published author arguing that John was to some degree bisexual. I've had it for fact for years...

Reading for my Young Adult Literature class. 10 page paper about a 100 page book should be fun.

I think this book gets exactly what I love most about The Beatles. Each song, no matter how simple and familiar it sounds, has so many layers in both instrumentation and lyrics. I thought I knew all these songs inside out, but I am being proven wrong!

I'm having so much fun revising my Beatles history :)) Suddenly I am 15 again.

I was pleasantly surprised that they had this at my local library! Can't wait to have a middle aged man tell me what the McLennon girlies on tumblr have known since always lmao
