Pretty good. A little repetitive. Some details are annoying me. Like a good mom would not have sent her 12 yo son into a prison with a stranger. The mom would not have given her son the money for camp knowing he gets jumped and robbed often. She would have taken that money to the school herself or wrote a check.

Something about this is kind of weird. I’m struggling to connect to the story and the fmc

I normally don’t read books like this. This is way more hood than I’m used to. I’ll finish this book and see if I’ll continue the series.

I’m listening to the audiobook for the male voice and reading the actual book for the female section. The female voice for Erin is horrible. She sounds like an angry dude. This book is also very repetitive.

The fmc is selfish

The fmc has been to many different planets and interacted with different people, yet she is not observant enough to understand the way things are done with the Kroo. She has a preconceived notion of how she thinks things should be. She arrived on their planet. She has to follow their rules. It’s also annoying she wasn’t even going to fight for her mate.

I really like this, but I’m struggling with patience for the fmc. She lets everyone walk all over her. Even her “backbone” is pathetic.

Im interested in the story. It’s hard to read how much of a doormat the fmc is. She is being trampled on and I just want to give her a good shake and a couple of face slaps to stop being such a pushover.

I hate the cheating

So far I really dislike this book. Fmc is sheltered and immature. Mmc is a jerk and a whore with no redeeming qualities.

So far I really like this. Mmc is broody like Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights. The story reminds me of a Sabrina retelling. I really like disaster Daisy. I’ve laughed several times.

So far it’s better than book 1. The chapters aren’t crazy short. The paragraph spacing is better.

Fmc has no backbone. She stood up of herself once. Mmc is sounding like a pervert. Every little interaction and glance the mmc has of the fmc he gets hard and fantasizes. Where is the chemistry?

I liked the first half of the book. I do not like how the mmc is calling the fmc “baby” after he just broke up with his fiancé. The fmc caught him having sex with his fiancé not that long after he is professing love to her.

This one is my least favorite. I normally like a beauty and the beast retelling, but this is tough to get through. I just lose interest even though it is a short read.

Giving this another chance. I don’t remember anything about this book
