Historically I have ignored the music in these books but this song choice (Wicked Game by Luisant) confirms my hunches re Tyson over Laikyn (man starved and ravenous holding on by a thread, think Bridgerton Anthony-esque kinda hunger for the woman he ‘cant’ have)

I have seen this line all over and knew this tribute would die but didnt think I loved their fierce heart and sharp wit as much as I did and now I sit here a mess of tears for what Haymitch (and me as the reader) have lost, I don’t know how he continues after this

I haven’t been able to put this book down at all since I picked it up and it’s so painful bc I know the outcome for these characters in some form or another and yet I have gone and gotten myself attached to them all the same

Save yourself the torture of reading this book its awful, the FMC is the broad stroke autism spectrum, her grandmother never socialized her properly, and I can call the ‘plot and mystery’ from a mile away

Would have dnf’d but my friend just got into reading and wants to discuss this book as its the first one she’s finished since 2017

“Their intentions were good” babygirl no they were not your mother oversteps in your life but also expects you to parent her children and run the family; this was intentionally malicious to make you complicit and date your ex again through the guise of ‘oh look how nice you guys are together we all get along so well and he is already family!’ I hate her parents so much

I actually hate her parents so much what a gross violation and invasion of her privacy to BREAK INTO her home, make themselves comfortable to her food and drink, AND “surprise” her with her ex boyfriend and her parents
