The magic system in this book is so fun I could just read an entire book of how people create spells.

DNFing this book after 30% someone said the mmc was giving Leon Kennedy from the RE franchise. He’s not.

Helena Hunting always makes me feel like I could write a book.

It should be ILLEGAL for this book to not have a character list. We’re in book end game and we’re still introducing characters.

This is written like a bad scholastic book sale book in the best way possible. I’m having a rip roaring good time but also fairydale has scrambled my brain so much I could not tell a good book from a bad one.

I’ve had beef with this book from the first page. In the author’s notes VL feels the need to warn the reader that you have to pay attention to the story and you cannot skim over the story. In the same breath she also notes that she aimed for historical accuracy over all. Because I don’t like being told what to do I want to note the practical laser beam was invent in 1960 and this book is set in 1955.

Next time someone asks me to define information dump I just going to hand them this book because tell me why I still have 17 hours left of this audiobook and too much has happened. I’m not even at the halfway point. This could have been a 3 book series. Someone get Miss Lancet an editor please.

This is lowkey only a vibe because I can’t tell if the author even knows what’s going on in her own story.
