Harry Potter is my favorite fandom. The Harry Potter films played a huge role in my childhood and sparked my interest in the fantasy genre. Now, many years later, I still feel as happy as a child when I read a book or fanfiction set in the Wizarding World. I can't wait to read this play with my friend, who is also a huge Harry Potter fan:) I'm turning 30 this year, but you're never too old to relive your childhood.

The worldbuilding is insane! What I really like about this book is that the author has developed a very unique magic system.

There are also many original magical creatures that I have never seen in other fantasy novels before.

I will upload my full book review soon!

Reading update:
I've wanted to read The Witcher for years. This is the first book that contains a series of short stories about the missions and quests Gerald faces. The stories are easy to read and take place in a detailed world. I can't wait to read the final chapters and other books!

Halfway through the book, extreme sexual violence appears in the storyline. It was so horrific that I stopped reading immediately. Such a waste of the fantastic world-building and storyline. I really don't understand why authors add horrific sexual violence to their storylines. Now, I see this happening regularly, but the sexual violence I read in Poppy War is the most intense I've read in a book so far..

Reading update!

This was one of the releases I was so eagerly anticipating this year. The storyline initially didn't appeal to me at all. We follow Alma as she does everything she can to care for her ailing mother, but when she writes a letter asking her biological father for help, her life changes forever. From this point on the book becomes incredibly exciting, there is a trial, and old god in the form of a beast.

It's time for another reading update!

I've finished this book. I found some of the plot twists quite surprising, while I saw others coming from way before they even started. The storyline is so detailed, you really feel like you're on board this murder train yourself. I'll upload my full review next month during the fall season so stay tuned!

Anna has experienced a horrible family tragedy. After many years, she has finally managed to track down all the perpetrators responsible for her suffering. She hands over all the evidence to the FBI and lures everyone who played a role in the death of her parents and brother into her father's former luxury train, but what Anna doesn't know is that there is someone on board who, just like her, is out for revenge...

Iris is 20% done with A Duet with the Siren Duke (Married to Magic, #4)
The storyline starts off rather slowly. Victoria, the main character, ends up in an underwater Siren world. Because she is a sacrifice, she can no longer return to her old world. I miss graphic descriptions that would have made the world of the Sirens seem much more vivid. The storyline is also quite negative, the main character only experiences misery. Hopefully this will improve...

Riley Sager is in my opinion one of the best Thriller authors of this century. This book is so bizarre. I listened to the audiobook in two days, from the first second I was drawn into the storyline and I just had to know how the story would end. I will write an extensive review soon in which I will share my thoughts!

Old trains have always fascinated me. I always wonder where they go. Earlier this year I saw the movie: Murder on the Orient Express. I was so impressed by the storyline that I decided to read the book by Agatha Christie. Since then I have been looking for storylines that involve trains. I read my very first Riley Sager book "Home Before Dark" last year and have been looking forward to his new release ever since...

Iris is on page 303 of 304 of Sing the Night (Opera Magique, #1)
I just finished reading: Sing the Night

The storyline enchanted me from the first sentence and the author managed to keep my attention. What I did notice was that the author used a lot of repetitive descriptions. Sometimes the same word appeared three times in one sentence. That seemed very unnecessary to me. Fans of the Movie: The Black Swan will probably be just as enchanted by this book as I was.

Every character in the storyline is incredibly well developed. The author gives more information about their backgrounds page by page. The combat scenes are described in such detail that you get the feeling that you are a spectator yourself. I am incredibly curious about the plot and the other two books in this trilogy.

The storyline really reminds me of the movie the black Swan, the atmosphere impression is exactly the same, but here everything revolves around opera and the combination of magic. Several students will do anything to become the new King Mage, but to be selected they have to compose an impressive piece of music in which they have to process magical magic elements. Incredibly impressive!

I just started reading this book. While reading the first chapters I had to think a lot of the vibes of the movie "The Black Swan" because of the opera music, but the magical elements reminded me of the book: "The Night Circus" I am very curious about the rest of the storyline! My next reading update will follow soon.

My latest reading update is that I am actually quite disappointed in the storyline.

Addie travels all over the world, she visits different places, but she is constantly forgotten by everyone. In the beginning this is interesting, but after a while the repetitions of the same routines came across as very boring to me.

I did not find the plot very special. I will upload my full review soon.

This book is almost impossible to miss and has been featured so often on Bookstagram, Booktok and on book apps.

Often when a book is very popular I am afraid that I will have certain expectations in advance due to the hype. The storyline contains many humorous elements, there are a lot of original characters and the hidden emotional messages in the storyline are very moving.

I will upload my review soon!
