The Silmarillion is a book I've been trying to read for years. It reads like a kind of history bible of Middle Earth. The writing style is very theoretical and so detailed that it often feels like information overload. Think of it as an extremely detailed history book. This year, I'm going to try to read a chapter a week in the hopes of finally finishing The Silmarilion.
