This is my first audiobook of the year. So far, I haven't been particularly impressed with the storyline. The writing style doesn't appeal to me, and there aren't any characters who really stand out. I don't get the whole magical system. It's a school with monsters and students who have to survive, but why they ended up there or what its magical powers are is still unclear to me after more than an hour of listening.
