Chapter 524: I love how from the beginning the Gods are already dead. It’s a fresh take on this kind of story as well as “spell” system and it’s “memories.”

One thing I've noticed is that it is very similar to "Lord of the Mysteries" as its very long and pretty much perfect (story-telling wise). Key difference between them is that Shadow Slave is more "vanilla" or easier to digest than Lord of the Mysteries. That doesn't take anything away from it at all, the naming and world building just seems easier to keep track of then LOTM.

Chapter 401 and Sunny is finally out of the forgotten shore and crimson spire. Seems like he's just getting stronger until Nephis gets re-introduced

The parallels between Nephis and Sunny are just so remarkably wonderful that I am taken aback by the symbolism this novel is able to present. I love how they explain some of it too through the thoughts of Sunny. I mean I'd get it either ways, but new or slower readers (especially since there are 1200 chapters so far) are able to understand things so much easier.
