(As I said before in our lil bookclub) Pamuk brought heroic stories into our modern world. He discusses regret, faith and betrayal, love and so many other themes in the current age comparing them to Oedipus, Rostam & Sohrab, prophet Abraham and etc. I personally cannot foresee a heroic ending to this story in the conventional form.
