Just realized this book has a glossary…

So there’s a magical city that chooses to isolate itself(?) but has a library of “unaltered knowledge” that could dispel the entire Scorpio code? That’s a stretch. They better have a good reason to hide away.

For a book with hyped-up world building, I am begging for more details about the world. There’s SO much potential but come on give us nothing I guess… also I’m team Avia at this point.

When not being glazed by the half thought out side characters, Rieka is constantly in need of assistance.

If having a guest room is suspicious, then why do you have one in your own house? Literally if you’re in the dark scary woods, why have a guest room that nobody else could use?! By not repurpose it for storage or turn it into a craft room for Terri Schuester since it seems like everyone can stop by unless it’s plot relevant for the woods to eat them.

Do they teach Driksaal to everyone at Plot Contrivance School? If Libran Healers are so rare, then why would Chase even think it was related. *Sigh*
