ever since i heard olivie detail the concept at an event early last year i’ve yearned for it to be the best book i’ve ever read ever on earth

ran to youtube after reading the wrestling scene™ to see how the academy award-winning 1969 film adapted it, and yes, whoever tells you that that scene is one of the most memorably homoerotic things ever put to screen is 100% right (for me, it was my mum) — yet somehow it still manages to be more sensual and homoerotic in the book!

this is a book that offers so much more in rereads. i have been having a ball annotating it

consider my patience tested: the fmc has just been compared facially to gal gadot. i could roll my eyes and ignore that but then the fmc says gal gadot is a lot nicer than she is, and that’s just impossible
