i started reading this arc because in deeper waters was the worst book i read in 2023, and by golly by gosh, this bad boy does not disappoint. it’s so profoundly bad. my review is gonna be CRAZY

this man is down so bad holy lord above. his childhood hero is a real and giant woman and he is down absolutely apocalyptic

still wondering why law school is so specially designed to torture people

if i were a law school student and a book told me to practice mindfulness it would genuinely send me off the deep end. solid advice otherwise though

is there a reason why law school is designed like a torture chamber? like why are you paying a million dollars to spend three years in the pits of actual hell

everybody please send good vibes to my girlfriend because law school is maybe one of the greatest evils on this earth for some reason despite practicing law being pretty fine

will a fantasy book group book finally turn out to be genuinely good for once? i must say the chances are looking pretty good, even if the mc is a little dumb

i decided to start counting how many unnecessary italics were used for emphasis and gave up after 32 instances in 24 pages, not including the constant italicized fantasy-german words that we get every five seconds. bratwurst? nah dog that's rohtwurst. a penny? that's a pfenni my brother.

all that said, i'm definitely engaged so far. the protagonist is only a Little dumb. major win for a ya mc!

there's no way to describe the emotional whiplash of reading something moving and profound and then starting a new chapter and seeing "The Hotdog Man always came after dark". i love this book

with a more brutally honest copyeditor this could've been so much better. regardless, i am locked in
