Idk why this book has such a melodramatic goodreads cover lmao but thoroughly enjoying this novel. It’s considered adjacent to Salvia Plath’s The Bell Jar, but deals more with how doctors treated mentally illness in women, ft 1940-1950s era. A slept-on feminist classic!

Utterly and continually astounded. A paramount literary beauty so far.

I have started way too many books all at once and now they’re all falling behind :(
