Josh Martin is on page 120 of 307 of The Walnut Tree: Women, Violence and the Law – A Hidden History
Bit of light holiday reading
Very interesting so far, avoids the trap some law books fall into of relying too heavily on case law - reads like a social history of gender inequality through law in context.

Josh Martin is starting Sandworm: A New Era of Cyberwar and the Hunt for the Kremlin's Most Dangerous Hackers
New book let’s go
Lords of crypto crime was so good that I’ve put aside my skepticism of Americans writing about Russia to try this, which I wouldn’t normally have gone for.

Really good book, have to say for transparency that Stevenson's claims about being the most profitable or 'best' trader at Citibank have been doubted if not disproven by the Financial Times since I started it.

Josh Martin is on page 280 of 336 of Lunch with the FT 2
Very interesting so far - usually not more than 5 or 6 pages per interview (leaves you invested in each person) and features a wide range of unique voices.
Sometimes comes across as older and out-of-touch when dealing with younger interviewees. Uses 'diminutive' when describing women too much.

Josh Martin is on page 65 of 400 of Ladies And Gentlemen Of The Jury: Greatest Closing Arguments In Modern Law
One of my favourite books about the law for a lay person - closing arguments are the most exciting part of a trial. Particularly enjoyed Clara Shortridge-Foltz’ speech about being a woman at the bar in 1890(!) and counsels speech in the Chicago Seven case so far. The latter really invoked some strong feelings and is worth reading if you’ve even a passing interest in the importance of protest in a democracy.
