Lee Miller is 12% done with American Gods
I'm "reading" the full-cast audio production while following the text, and so far, it's wonderful. The audio production is extremely well-done, very professional, like radio theater, and the book is great. I'm looking forward to seeing where it leads me.

Lee Miller is 20% done with The Red Horseman (Jake Grafton, #5)
Got about 20% of the way into it and am considering not finishing it. It's a little cliché ridden, occasionally a little bombastic, the dialogue and exposition seem dragged out to fill space, and it concerns the Yeltsin era in Russia, and so is dated. Coonts' books are huge bestsellers and so I've always wanted to read one just to know what they're like, but I may check this off my list without finishing it.

I’m about 2/3 of the way through this and have so far found it boring. Is it worth trying to finish it?

The title is unfortunate, but after the first couple of chapters, I'm hooked on this mashup of Sci-Fi, Urban Fantasy, and dragons.

Wow, so nostalgic. It brings back so many wistful, almost painful, memories.

Slow to start, odd world-building, but at about a third of the way through, it's becoming interesting and the point is coming into focus.

Lee Miller is on page 93 of 312 of Search for the Buried Bomber (Dark Prospects)
I'm about a third of the way through this and two things stand out: the Chinese really, really, really hate the Japanese. The atrocities the Japanese committed during the pre-war occupation of China and during WWII are still fresh in their minds and far from forgiven. Secondly, Chinese writers still have to tiptoe around the 50s and 60s abuses of Maoism.

Lee Miller is on page 85 of 288 of Spontaneous Happiness: A New Path to Emotional Well-Being
Wonderful book. So far, it comes across as simply reasonable and wise (of course, that's Weil's shtick, but he's won me over). One great thing so far is an excellent brief history of "selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor" class drugs like Prozac and Zoloft. I had no idea that they were related to, and largely derived from antihistamines, and that their effect is largely as a placebo.

Lee Miller is on page 165 of 1098 of H.P. Lovecraft: The Complete Fiction
Working my way through the H.P. Lovecraft “Complete Fiction.” I have it next to a chair and pick up it as I think about it, so this is filler while I read other books more seriously. The stories are in chronological order and so far, nothing’s been particularly horrific. However, it’s helped me understand the early 20th-century “weird tales” craze because the stories aren’t suspenseful or scary, just … weird.
