I love Lev Grossman’s writing. His description of becoming an animal or bird were brilliant.

Enjoying! A nice story.

I am perhaps 10 of the way in and I’m already glad that this is part of a trilogy.

This book is a tough read for me but I keep at it. The arrogance to redirect three major rivers for agriculture is shocking and I wonder what it would be like now if this project hadn’t happened.

I am a plant molecular biologist who thinks about agriculture a lot, but didn’t know anything about this history.

Really captivating.

This is an engaging book - it’s easy to read and a page-turner.

This well-paced story brings the reader to Scotland in the past and has interesting characters. The time-travel aspects are forking for me, at least so far.
