The entire chapter of Addie is breathtakingly beautiful, I tried to highlight and quote some passages but all of it is simply too stunning

Faulkner uses words with such a swift intuitive waywardness that just makes sense.

I truly think I might like this even better than The Sound and The Fury

Interesting portrayal of the Burdens because even their sentiments which were anti-slavery and pro-human rights had the rationalization of religious fanaticism and racism

Wingstroke is quite a gripping story. Saw somewhere it's meant to be a fragment for a much longer story and that's perhaps right

I do think Faulkner is the kind of author that makes me feel like 'Ah he's great... so great... and so many authors I've read before have shadows parts of him in them. And I'm glad I read him now instead of sooner because I might not have been able to appreciate him.'
