Couldn't get into it. He's too obsessed with her. Never thought I would criticize that in a book. I don't care that the NFL and Green Card process make zero sense. I just didn't care for the characters. I thought a short book could get me out of this reading slump, but I guess this wasn't the one.

The chapters from Danes POV make me want to file a sexual harassment complaint against the author.

It's so hard to get though this book. How can I love every other book I read by Stephanie Archer but dislike this one so much? I liked Holden in the other two books as a side character, but as a main character, he sucks. He and Sadie absolutely shouldn't be a couple. They have no chemistry.
I'm too stubborn to dnf this though.

I love the Witch School, Coven and doing magic the right/wrong way aspect of this book. I just dislike the enemies to Lovers aspect. I would have so much more fun with this book if Gray wasn't a love interest.

I'm starting to skimp through it. Losing interest the more I read.

God i hate being a mood reader. I'm not in the mood to read the books I couldn't wait to read two months ago. Now they finally released and I won't read them. But I don't want to read another book because I was so excited for those and now I'm just not reading 😭
Instead I'm binge watching Criminal Minds.

I'm giving up. This is just too much. The writing is so weird, not everything has to be described with 3 methaphors. Sometimes things can be just blue or nice.

I'm debating dnfing this. It's not good, but it might be bad enough to be funny. Right now it's more a game about highlighting the most ridiculous sentences than actual reading a story.

No. What am I reading? I feel like this book is two books in one. Her POV and his POV read like two different books. I can't connect to the characters, and I'm just lost most of the time. The only scene I liked was when they hooked up: He had a religious awaking where she is his goddess, and she thought he looked better in his suit than naked.

Fuck it I'm dnfing it. I just dislike Pippin with each page more. And since we're stuck in her head, it's just not worth it no matter how interesting the dragons and the world are. I like glimmer, but I dislike Pippin more. Every human character is so one dimensional expect for Draven, who is too complex for Pippa, so she doesn't understand him.

Its getting bad :( I think this needs more editing. Why are things mentioned, ignored and then later mentioned again as if this was some new revalation? (example dragon stone, the queen's power) Also some sentences were off "To make clear Queen Gloriana’s failures were made clear." This seems like a sentence that should not have made it into the final book.

Not for me. I don't care about the characters, and I don't understand where the sexual tension between them comes from. I tried to force myself through it, but I give up.

I tried, I tried so hard. I just can't get through this book. The writing style just isn't for me. It confuses me so much. I think the story is good, I just can't understand it. 😭😭😭

I really want to like this. The plot seems interesting when I can understand what's happening. It is frustrating and confusing. I understand the words but not the sentences 😭

Okay this is getting repetitive. She not very creative in how to annoy him and I don't understand how this even is her tormenting him?!
