Book one turn grey (?) towards the end when it finishes with a cliffhanger.

Book two is much darker and I had to skim pages that are too graphic. Darker books don’t appeal to me but there are moments in the duet that are quite sweet.

Gosh. I cannot catch a break. There’s so much talking and details that I felt was unnecessary.
Interesting for a while, but there’s just too much going on to the point the storyline falls flat.
I highly skim the pages from the half way mark. No sure if it’s worthwhile skimming to get to their HEA 🙄

AX is starting A Kingdom of Shadow and Ash (Kingdom of Gods, #1)

Skimmed finish the entire book till the early morning and feeling entirely dissatisfied.

Interesting story and MCs and heavy focus on world building. There will be long chapters focusing on other characters instead of the MCs that I am not a fan off.

It would have been better if the world building progress slower with subsequent books instead of cramming all into one.
