Not understanding the high ratings. This book is so boring. Nothing really happens, just a lot of talking. I guess it is lucky I have it on Audible, because if I had borrowed it, it would have returned itself unfinished weeks ago. 😅 I should say it is sweet... just not the best for people with ADHD that need more intense plots. 🤷‍♀️

I love Shriers way of teaching. A new prayer... help me to want the things You want for me, Lord.

It's 3rd person. It's fabulous, it really is! It's just taking me a hot minute to get through because third person is not my friend. I feel somewhat disconnected from the characters which makes my mind wander a bit and I have to refocus to actually absorb. It's not you, it's me!

Finished the first book. It reads more like a girl's journal than a book. There is no plot line that I can tell. Just the day-to-day adventures of our protagonist; Which involve dealing with high school bullies, absent parents, and an eating disorder. But really all this chick does is read her kindle and smart mouth everyone. I don't know what the point is... what exactly is supposed to be accomplished...?

I only wish the characters had different names. Liz, Lane, Lyle, Lil, Elle...even MiLo... what's with the "L" obsession? (This from Lindy Lulu). 😆 Otherwise it's ok. Feels slightly overrated right now.

This FMC is just ...argh! She's so drunk and/or drugged all the freaking time, that she has no memories of things that happen around her. And WHY is she trying to play police with her little cork board when PEOPLE ARE DYING?! Give the Detective the TRUTH! She thinks she's going to save herself while she's only making everything worse! She makes me mad.

This book is just one face-palm after another. Why on earth would a shy girl that avoids going out, never approaches guys, has no social media presence, suddenly be super comfortable being a lingerie model and rolling around with 2 hot guys on set? Why are Brad's adopted kids so insecure in his love? And author should know that cats are MORE affectionate w/humans when pregnant. Unless they truly feel threatened

This is really sad. Not make me teary sad. Just... hopeless.

Merrick is such a golden retriever! Adorable, but also needy as a loyal puppy. I am not sure if I love him or want him to CHILL, bro!

There are some really mixed reviews on this one, even though the overall rating is high. I got it on super sale (2 bucks!) on Audible, and am excited to see which reviews I side with.

I'm gonna be honest, I dislike the sudden switch from vax altering DNA and causing sterilization, to now being necessary life saving thing they need to share. They are trying to protect their people w/ a "clean" vax, as in, it doesn't contain fetal cell lines. But there is still an aspect of "playing God" by injecting chemicals that alter our natural immune systems. Makes me wonder about the blowback from book 1.

So far, so good! A LOT happening here!

Thank you, Elisabeth, for the gift copies of The Direction and Finding Fortitude! I am going to do a re-read of The Direction and update my review before I begin this one! I'm very excited to see how the Audible copies turned out!!

Guys... It's 3rd person writing and I'm struggling. Am I the only one? 😕

Still confused. I feel like there is an extra guy in the group that wasn't in the 1st book. Also, there is a guy they call "z" and in the beginning his name was Zander. Now his name is Xavier? I could probably follow better if FMC didn't need to get her rocks off every 5 minutes. I hate when a RH starts out so good and the plot really drives the story...then all of a sudden, the plot line takes a backseat to smut.

I should have re-read the first one. I feel lost....which is causing me to lose interest. 😒

Through book 4. Getting some 'Back to the Future' vibes with people flickering in and out of existence. I kind of hate how things went down with Carlos in the 4th one. Really starting to piece together the puzzle, but not sure I like where it's going.

Just finished book 3. Quite a conundrum indeed! Big revelation at the end of this one. Also, added perspectives of other characters, still in first person. It's entertaining enough, but still really confusing with all the separate time lines and odd parallels.

Finished Book 1 of 6. Very interesting, albeit highly unlikely, (and kind of ridiculous) premise. (We're to believe a group of people creates advanced time travel serums - but can't create a tetanus shot?) Written in 1st person from our protagonists POV. Clean. Mild cliffhanger.
Characters are entertaining. I don't understand one of the MMCs motives at all... but maybe if I keep listening...

This is one of the choppiest, hardest to follow, contradicting books I've ever heard. It's like ideas were coming so fast that the author didn't finish sentences or complete thoughts. And then so much directly contradicts itself. "He rubbed soothing circles - when he touches me I feel scratchy under my skin and black out". "I have to see the keys to play - when I finish I open my eyes". ????

I have mixed feelings on this one. Some parts are really good and other parts completely miss the mark!
She uses a black widow spider analogy that makes zero sense - and then misinterprets the Bible's analogy of the "rod". But she also has good ideas for connecting with our children when laying down rules and offering advice. So... eh. We'll see.

Just a random bonus borrow on hoopla to finish out the Month of May. Don't have high expectations, so hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised!

This book is well researched, but hard for people (like me) with zero experience rock climbing in snow. She keeps talking about all these different passes in Denali and her "crampons"...and I'm like "I bet this is really exciting, for some people ".

I wish hoopla or libby had the audiobook. I love to read, but I don't have time to just sit and read.

The world building is so good!

This is leaning heavily towards DNF territory. I haven't been able to get into it at all. I was hoping for something fun and silly after reading several heavy books. This is less silly and more stupid.

This book is pretty intense. A lot to handle. A lot to think about. I need breaks between chapters to process the trauma it feeds.

I've read the first 2 books...and it is getting redundant...how are there so many books in this series? Each member of the pack needs to meet their mate, but it's the same process. Possessive wolves, lots of eating, studying, sexy wealthy nerd werewolves. Each couple runs into it's own minor issues, but it still kind of feels like reading a "choose your own adventure" book. "What if I do this 1 thing different?"

Audible has their site wide sale and it's amazing! This book? Not so much. Of the 25% I have read, 20% is smut! Ugh. I was so invested in the story! Now I just kinda want my 4 dollars back. 😆 🤣 😂 Someone warn me next time. I'm really not a prude, I just don't need so much open bedroom to get the point. Give me more plot, please.
